Inside the Mighty Armed Forces, the duties of the Military Police are many fold. Their primary mission is to conduct area security and safeguard the perimeter of the base. This is done with a series of military check points and highly trained personnel who roam the boundaries. Our resident MP, Lt. Bull, can often be seen patrolling areas on foot, or aboard his assigned MP SUV.
MP’s are soldiers, but their duties are often a lot like those of Mighty World's police officers. They do traffic stops, interview witnesses, collect fingerprints and respond to emergencies. “Crimes and accidents can happen anywhere, at any time, and the military is no exception,” says Lieutenant Bull.
When he’s not saluting four-star generals or pressing his uniform, Officer Bull likes to unwind with a good game of softball. He and the other MP’s have recently formed a team nicknamed “the Sabers” and have a good natured but heated rivalry with the enlisted men over at the motor pool.
The Military Police SUV is purpose built with features for todays modern MP patrol. The latest model includes a rear folding back seat (for added cargo space), and a rugged tail gate with easy-to-use latch that releases both the tail gate and convertible hard top. The flashing red and blue lights work in tandem with the siren enabling alert drivers to clear the way for effective military police work. "When you hear me coming, best get to the side of the road," is what Bull says.
