By Ben the Flagman - Yesterday Lewis the Foreman asked me to head across town to pick up our new Mighty Skid Steer, but when I got to the yard I realized I didn’t have a tow package installed on my Mighty Construction Truck for the shiny new trailer that it came on. I remembered that my truck came standard with a 3-setting trailer hitch; large, medium and small, but while I had the pieces I didn’t really know how to mount it on the truck. Who better to call than Mike the Mechanic to lend a helping hand in getting this sorted.
Mike was great and showed up right away with all his tools. In no time flat he had the license plate off
the bumper. “Sometimes it take a little jiggle, but don’t worry it comes off every time” he chuckled as he started to break a sweat. After looking at the hitch, Mike explained that we’d be needing the large sized ball mount to safely tow this trailer, so that’s the one we picked. Once he had it securely clipped to the bumper, Mike asked me to back up the truck “nice and slow” to get it closer, but we both still had to pull pretty hard to roll the trailer the last couple
of inches onto the hitch. Boy I couldn’t have done that by myself. A few counter clockwise cranks of the stand lowered the trailer gently into place and we were ready to “rock n’ roll”.
Mike was kind enough to stick around a little longer to help me guide the skid steer onto the trailer. Phew!!! Who knew those things were so tricky to steer. Big kudos to Mike for being such a stand up guy and getting me hitched-up today.

Ben, thanks for picking up that skid steer, that was a big help. If you could tow that over to our new construction site and hand the keys to Ryan - I know he needs it to finish some of the landscaping. Thanks again.
