You may think that painting a house is just about picking the right color and rolling on some paint, but Ed the Painter knows there's much more to it, and he's pretty sure you'll figure it out too. Ed has both a keen eye for color and a true talent for application. For Ed, masking is the work and painting is the pleasure, though he knows perfection comes from doing both right. That's why Ed nevergoes to a job without his full set of tools. He brings tape for the masking, plaster for touching up the walls, primer to get a good foundation, and the highest quality paint available for the finishing touch. But that's not all. He also brings some color matched spray cans, which he has the local shop mix up just for him, to get into the hard to reach places.
And on hot days, he always brings his Mighty World brand Easy Flow, to thin the paint, making sure it doesn't dry too fast and ensure he doesn't get lap marks. Of course, Ed always brings a safe step ladder, lots of rags and drop cloths, and a full assortment of brushes and rollers.
With all this gear, nothing's going to stop him from getting the job done right. And here's a tip; never ask him to paint over mahogany wood; the question alone will drive him bonkers. That's one thing Ed and Joe agree on: fine wood should always be stained, never painted.
But when it does come to paint, Ed is a bit partial to his favorite color green. In fact Ed loves just about every shade of green you can think of: emerald, lime, mint, jade, sea foam, olive, chartreuse, and even sage. If it's green paint you want, Ed's your man. The grass truly is greener with Ed in the picture. That doesn't mean that Ed doesn't like the other colors. Want your house done up in bright aquamarine? Say no more. Have a hankering for some fuschia? Ed will say "can do, buckaroo." But don't ask for maroon. Ed hasn't done maroon since the 80s, and he spent the 90s painting over it.
