Last summer Ramon went back to the academy and got his K9 Handler Certification. Now he is the only SWAT member with a furry, wet-nosed partner, Jango, the 2 year old specially trained German Shepherd that joined the force last year. The K9 unit handles many special jobs in the department, from safely immobilizing fleeing criminals, to tracking the scent of missing persons, to performing floor-to-floor sweeps of buildings in search of evidence and banned substances.
Ramon has quickly become an expert dog handler and knows to reward Jango with his favorite dog treat, milk-bones. After just a few short months together, Ramon and Jango are already inseparable and work together seamlessly. As for Jango, he enjoys barking at squirrels and riding in the passenger seat of the Police Truck, preferably with his head out the window.
