Payment

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal. We also accept debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard logo. Unfortunately, orders placed with a pre-paid debit card or a gift card issued by a credit card company may be subject to cancellation due to difficulty verifying cardholder address information. We do not accept personal checks, money orders, purchase orders, CODs, international credit cards or CyberCash. Sorry, but we cannot accept credit cards with billing addresses outside of the United States, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam.
When is my credit card charged?
Your credit card is charged when you place your order and receive a confirmation page and email from us. If we have to cancel your order, we will refund any associated charges at the same time. However, depending on your card issuing institution, it may take from one day up to two weeks for the credit to appear on your card account.
How is my credit card verified? What happens if my card is declined?

During checkout, please be sure to enter the correct billing address and zip code on file with your credit card company. If you have moved, please make sure to update the credit card billing address listed in your account.

When you place an order with us, all credit card processors place a hold or "authorization" for the full amount of the order while they verify your credit card billing address and zip code electronically. If the address or zip code provided is not correct, the processor will decline the charge, resulting in an order cancellation. Additionally, the card company will keep the full authorization amount in place for several days.

Unfortunately, Mighty World doesn't have control over your card company's policies, including the amount of time an authorization stays on your account. Please be aware: If you attempt to place multiple orders with a billing address or zip code not on file with your processor, they may put multiple holds or authorizations on your account.

My debit/check card was rejected, why is there still a charge in my account?

If you used your debit/check card to make payment for your order AND your transaction failed because of an invalid address or security code, then the charge may still appear in you bank account for a few days. This is because debit/check cards are processed differently from regular credit cards and each transaction (including failed ones) places a pending charge on your account. This pending charge after a failed transaction will eventually be reversed. Depending on the bank, it may take from 2 to 10 days for these pending charges to disappear.

Unfortunately, this pending charge is determined by your bank and there is nothing we can do to influence these policies. You are encouraged to contact your bank directly to confirm their authorization hold policy and procedure for failed transactions.

Your bank will most likely tell you that these transactions are valid. However, wait for few days and these will automatically disappear from your account. If these transactions are still listed after 5 days, feel free to contact us so we can investigate it further.
