What’s summertime without being outdoors - the smell of thick marbled steaks cooking over hot coals (Dad’s favorite) tucked alongside freshly shucked ears of corn. Nothing says summer more than grilling on the bar-b-que, why it’s enough to make the neighbors peek over the fence and lick their lips? There are plenty of hot dogs and soda pop to go around. Just make sure to help put away the plates when you’re done eating.
It’s widely known that there are some regions of Mighty World where barbequing is a very serious matter, and while Mat may have the hottest recipe for chili, nobody can touch Dad’s “top secret” barbeque sauce. Help Dad brush on thick dollops of that sweet smoky flavor and invite the whole neighborhood for a cookout.
Some say the secret to his famous barbeque recipe is simply vinegar and molasses; others swear it’s just plain chili powder and corn syrup, but the truth is only Dad knows, and of course his razor sharp detective sister Lisa, she’s noticed that after summer they’re always low on liquid smoke flavoring and paprika. Pretty clever Lisa. Fire up that grill!
