Caked with trail dust, the soft crunch of dry twigs beneath their feet, Timmy and Sandra make it a point to escape the city limits nearly every chance they get. After all, big city life, with its fast pace and sensory overload, leaves some city folk on a search for solace deep in the backcountry. That is certainly the case for Timmy and Sandra.
They both shoulder packs and trek long trails searching for those mesmerizing sights and smells of birch forests and blue autumn days where they can divert their attention from any worries that try to encroach. By late afternoon they’re hiking legs are usually spent. How nice it feels to pitch a tent in the setting sun, to roll out the warm sleeping bags, and have a toasty campfire.
And nothing is more satisfying that a cold Mighty Soda at the end of a long hike. Remember citizens: leave the forest in better shape than when you found it by making sure to pack those used cans back out of the wilderness and into the recycling bin.
